On July 30, 2024, distinguished speakers Renee Cross, Senior Executive Director & Researcher at the Hobby School of Public Affairs, University of Houston; Hector DeLeon, Senior Advisor for Governmental Affairs and Public Engagement at the Harris County Clerk’s Office; and Michael Adams, Director of the Master of Public Affairs Graduate Program (MPA) at TSU’s Barbara Jordan-Mickey Leland School of Public Affairs (SOPA) discussed minority voting trends in Houston. They mapped the landscape of voters in Greater Houston and at the state level, providing an overview of long-term voter engagement trends.
